Grand Council of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North Amerfca, will make an official visit to Tarum Court No. 14, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Indianapolis, on
7. On the same day, a large group jof candidates will be initiated into the order in the Travertine Room of the Lincoln Hotel at 2 p. m. Mrs- F. Keith Klepfer, High Priestess, will preside. A business meeting at 10 a. m. will be followed by a luncheon in honor of the visiting officers. The initiation ceremony at 2 p. m. will be followed by entertainment furnished by uniformed bodies of the Shrine. The Tarum Court Patrol, Mrs. Lyman H. Faulconer, captain, will participate in the entertainment as will the Desert Caravan, Mrs. Walter Anderson, president; the Chanters, Mrs. Clyda Clark, Directress, and the Drum and Bugle Corps, Mrs. Ruth Muterspaugh, drum major. Following the afternoon activities, Mrs. Klepfer will entertain the grand officers in her home.
Sears Sponsors Photo Contest
A six-weeks' contest for local amateur photographers with more than $10,000 in local and national awards will be held by; Sears, Roebuck & Co. beginning Friday.
M. C. Carpenter, manager of the store here, said an unlimited number of pictures of any size up! to eight by 10 inches may be submitted.
Entries will be judged weekly and a $56 award will be given ur the best picture.
