For Last Fling at Love
TM A MAN, 40, in good health, shape and figure but feel life slipping away. I want the last fling of young love, and I'm willing to pay the fiddler. I'm helpless to forget a young girl, and probably will break my last marriage ties to follow the dictations of my emotions rather than my
I was married to a wonderful girl 15 years, and we have raised and educated three children. ‘I became involved with a young girl, and our affair ran the course of the inevitable. I explained to my wife and we were divorced, but the home ties were strong and 1 moved into my oldest son's old room when he married. Our neighbors don't know anything has happened. 1 still provide—we go to shows, etc.—the surface appears unchanged. The girl was a ward of the court and was placed in an institution after our affair. She'll soon be 18 and will be released. I can’t get her off my mind and she proffers undying love for me. .I realize I've been given a second chance by my wonderful wife, and I realize the folly of trying to adjust myself in a future with this young girl. I know a draft horse can't keep pace with a racehorse. Pe also know, I may be going through a complete emotional change| with the outcome probably leaving me with a lonely old age. Your anaylsis of human relations is practicai—I submit my problem. EDDIE, City. Why “buy” something YOU don’t believe in? This. girl doesn't expect to straighten out your mess on top of hers. She looks upon you as an exciting older man and a little bit of a father who'll make everything right. She needs a respectable‘fhan to help her earn self-respect, but you won't be a respectable man anymore. You expect her to make you forget your bad conscience for walking out ‘on a good wife. You think she'll make you forget that your children are ashamed of you and your friends are laughing behind your back. On top of that, you expect her to give you eternal youth—and she expects you to find it. She thinks you'll be 40 forever though she'll wish many times you're younger. You'd look a lot younger by outdoing your friends, around 40, in activities and sports than you will by acting the silly middleaged man, cinstantly uncomfortable because girls and boys of 13 are bored with you. Together ‘you won't fit in with these few groups that will include you. You'll be all on your own, growing old ungracefully, while the girl will be wishing she'd been brave enough to make a new start alone.
‘Should | Marry Knowing I'm Not in Love’
I SHALL SOON be 23 and this past year have dated three boys, each older than I am. I've become very fond of them, and each has asked me to marry him, I found out I am going to have a baby in seven months. I've told all three boys, since I'm not sure which is the father. Each offered to marry me. Should I marry one of them, knowing I'm not really in love? My parents are dead and I have no one to confide in. CONFUSED, City. I wonder if you Should marry any of these boys. A good marriage is founded on love and respect—on understanding and trust. You'll need someone to stand by you to help you make something good of your life—not a man who promises that from excitement or fright. You have to make a decision that involves three people —the baby, you and the man. Won't you visit the Family Service Association and also talk with your pastor?

Wantto Furnish, Rent Attic
WE HAVE A VERY large attic that I'd like to furnish. With the housing shortage it's a shame we can't have an apartment. 1s it permissable to finish the room and rent it as a sleeping room? CITY READER. It's Permissable.
Youth Faces ‘Eternal Triangle’ I LOVE A NEIGHBOR boy who loves me but he has gone with my stepsister for a year. She doesn't care anything about him but goes with him to keep me from having him—she hates me. If Je split up with her my stepmother wouldn't let him come to our ouse. We don’t want a street corner romance, bat we can't marry until we get the money. I am miserable at home. Another boy wants to marry me right away and would be good to me, but I don’t love him. Should I marry him or wait for the one I.really love? DESPERATE CITY LOVER. This boy you love must know how you suffer when you see him with your stepsister, if he really loves you. Either he lacks courage to break off with her, or he rather likes her. Try to make friends with your family and have dates with other boys while he is accumulating enough money to marry—if he decides it's you he wants. You don’t want that other boy.
