36 Men, 2 Women Bagged in Forays |

Acting on a bootleg tip, police raided the Midway Cafe, 544 W. Washington St, and arrested’ Esau R. Owens, 38, of 43%; Kentucky Ave. on a charge of violating the liquor law. Arlis Blakey, 41, operator of an E. 10th St. tavern, was charged with selling beer and whisky to a group of teen-agers. Also arrested on liquor law violation charges was William A. Turner, 1212 W. 29th St, who said he bought the beer used by a group of teen agers at a weiner roast in “lover's lane” near 16th St. and Ritter Ave. i

Woman Operator Seized urs. Blanche Karas, operator of the International Tavern, 613 E. Washington St, was charged with selling liquor on Sunday when police raided the place and| found several customers drinking at the bar.
