face car theft charges a 24-year-old Franklin, Ind, man who police also suspected of shooting a 30-year-old woman hitchhiker to death in Mississippi. Harvey G. Foster, special agent in charge of the Indianapolis office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, said that William R. Thomasson had been arrested in Blackwell, Okla., by a police chief who said he recognized Thomasson from wanted circulars posted in police headquarters. Accused of 100 Thefts Chief Foster said Thomasson picked up Clara Shields while she was hitchhiking near Columbus, Ind, and took her over the country with him. He said Thomasson was wanted for stealing more than 100 cars in nearly a dozen
