Shortage of Prisoners ‘Means Overtime Pay
HARRISBURG, Pa., Sept. 10; (UP)—A ‘labor shortage in one of Pennsylvania's prison industries has forced prison officials to pay inmates overtime rates to: keep its multi-million dollar busi-| ness intact. Herbert Cooper; superifitendent of state prison industries, said today that overtime pay was essential to projects at Rockview, prison industries which turned out a part of $2 million in salable] goods the last fiscal year.
