Oye Hits City Truck; 2 Hurt

Two persons were seriously injured yesterday when a motorcycle hit the rear of a City Engineer truck. The driver of the truck, Charles Hamel, 48 years old, 1457 Massachusetts Ave., told police that he was driving west on 1 8t., and attempting to make a left turn at Brookside Ave. when the cycle struck him. Dwight Rister, 22, of 1421 Vermont 8t., a passenger on the motorcycle, is in serious condition in General Hospial with head and face cuts and bruises, The driver of the cycle, Roy Lewis Jones Jr. 27, of Waldron, Ind, is In serious condition in Veterans’ Hospital with a possible fractured skull and a compound fracture of the right leg.
