She has an average of six pairs of shoes in her closet, including play sandals, evening slippers and the inevitable saddle shoes and loafers. Seven dollars is the approximate amount paid for each pair. Silk or nylon hose don't play a very big part in a high school gal’'s life — she usually owns three pairs which she wears as infrequently as possible. Anklets

Miss Sub. Deb has threé suits and pays between $20 and $30 apiece for them. She'd rather wear skirts and sweaters any time and owns, on an average, six skirts and seven to 10 sweaters. Her skirts cost approximately seven dollars each and she pays six dollars for her sweaters. Cashmere and angora sweaters are a cherished luxury — if a teen-age gals lucky she owns one and paid about $15 for it. Six or eight blouses hang in a sub deb’s closet—just in case it's too warm for a sweater. She has three dresses for school wear and two “date” dresses.
