- Rites for 1st Lt. Edward Thomas Kitley, P-47 Thunderbolt pilot killed over England, will be held at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow in the home of his mother, Mrs. Gladys Kitley, New Palestine. Military services will be held in Washington Park. ; Lt. Kitley was graduated from Warren Central © High ' School, studied ‘engineering at Purdue University for one year and attended Roscoe Turner Aeronautical School for 10 weeks. He was a member of New Palestine Methodist Church. . Prior to his military service, Lt. Kitley was an inspector at International Harvester plant
with the 8th Air Force at the time of 1s death, He was awarded hed Flying Cross and Alr Medal. Burviors, besides his mother, are a sister, Mrs. Max Hendryx; an aunt, Mrs, Clara Armiger, and Holden, all of New Palestine.

Mr. Benzel, who was 82, was born in Portchester, Conn. He| lived in Indianapolis 71 years.! He was a machinist in Real Silk Hosiery Mills, Inc, for 10 years until he retired in 1938. He had been previously employed in Atlas Engineering Co., Inc., 35 years.

Rites for Henry J. Branner; formerly of Indianapolis, who, died Thursday in Veterans Hos-| pital in Marion, were held in Marion yesterday with burial there. He was 60. Mr. Branner, a former Indianapolis Street Department employee, lived here 40 years, but was born in Knexville, Tenn.
