- "THE CITY"—This painting by Russian-born Raymond Breinin was recently purchased by the Art Association of Indianapolis for the John Herron Att Museum. The painting shows a gentle Christ with outstretched hand, an angel and the outstretched wing of another atop a tall building, while light bathes the rooftops below. That the figures may be carved stonework on a church is suggested from the character of two small angelic figures near the head of the Christ-figure. This unusual painter, who is now an.American, likes to wander about the noisy city after night- . fall, seeing sairifs Ser anges: bri THEI opposites Wife GTHEF eyes 360 none. .
