Shows Greatest Gain

NEW YORK, Aug. 5. (UP)~— Newspapers showed the greatest gain in national advertising of any other major media during June, Printers’ Ink magazine disclosed today. . Newspaper advertising rose two per cent over its level for the previous month, while magazine space advanced by one per cent. Radio dropped four per cent and the medium of outdoor advertising fell off 15 per cent, the publication sald. Compared with June, 1947, national advertising in newspapers was up 14 per cent, against gains of three and four per cent in magazines and radio, respectively. Outdoor advertising declined by three per cent. g
