By HENRY NOBLE HALL .LATE IN JANUARY, 1845, after a spell of overwork at my typewriter, I felt a sudden pain in my right thigh. A day or two later I began to limp. In the absence of my regular doctor, who was in the Pacific, I. had been going to another man. When I showed him the place where the pain had shot through, he said it was the sartorius muscle. Whatever tenderness there may have been had disappeared, s0 he took a blood test. A pedigraph showed my feet in excel- ; lerit condition. He then sent me to the New York Hospital for an X-ray of my hip. This he said was entirely negative and suggested that a little physiotherapy could do Me no harm. x » . = ¥ a NT 3» a well Sows $n: of ADgust my limp iad GIN Pp ‘rapist. Inside my appeared.
