Horseshoe Tricls ' Open at Brookside

Qualifying’ rounds for the Indiana State Horseshoe Pitching Tournament, sponsored by The Times, started today at Brookside Park. The second group of qualifiers will pitch tomorrow from 9 a. m. until 6 p. m. The third qualification period will be next Saturday, The = best pitchers of the some 150 expected to attempt to qualify will take part in the state finals at Brookside on Aug. 1. Entries still will be accepted at the horseshoe courts when participants report for qualifications on any of the three days. There is an entry fee of $2.50. Camp officials blamed the theft on souvenir hunters and sought another emblem.
