He administered to 84 patients, some women, and others men. They were suffering various types of infections. Dr. Shipley found that the drug, given in pill form, caused some unfavorable reactions, including vomiting. However, he reports that excellent results were obtained in two cases of typhoid fever, in seven cases of cystitis, (inflammation of the urinary bladder) three cases of pyelitis (inflammation of the kidney pelvis), and five of seven cases of gonorrhea in wom-
