The 31 year-tid Camden Negro passed tests in condition yesterday:

Newspaper men will be permitted to watch his light sparring sessions on Saturday and Sunday, but they will not be permitted to talk to him. Jersey Joe was held incommunicado for a longer period before the December battle. Despite Trainer Dan Florio's earlier denials of staleness, Dan admitted today that Walcott had been given a “complete rest” Wednesday and that he had done only 213 miles of roadwork yesterday. During the press conference, Walcott said he would be willing to defend the title in September, if he won Wednesday night. He explained he had a contract for a return bout with Louis, in spite of the champion’s repeated announcements he would retire. the crabs passed the word around that mullet was on the breakfast menu. Two at a Time We started pulling up these big scuttling babies two at a time. Some of them dropped off just like in the old White River at home and some of them stayed on and crab-danced back into the water. You take about a dozen of these crabs, which are about eight to 10 inches across, drop them alive into a vat of boiling water and you've got ‘something. But we hadn’t intended to go crab fishing and we cast off and pulled the outboard back into the river and tied up at a bank where Doc’s car was parked, and back to the hotel. We're headed for Palacios or some place or other in a little while and some trout fishing. Maybe we'll go out again for king or even tarpon. None of these writers knows next where we're going. We just leave it up to our genial host, Andy Anderson, outdoors man of the Houston Press, a ScrippsHoward newspaper, who is “selling” the Texas Gulf coast fishing to us Yankees.
