Sugar Ray Favored To Beat Docusen

WoCAGO, June 17 (UP)—| Welterweight Champion Ray “Sugar” Robinson was a 3 to 1 favorite today to retain his title in a 15 round bout tonight against, Bernard Docusen, 21-year-old | challenger from New Orleans. Docusen was expected to weigh about 146 pounds, one under the weight limit, while Robinson was figured to hit 147 pounds. Tonight's scrap will be Robinson's third defense of the title he won in December, 1046, after he {defeated Tommy Bell. Now he has aspirations for the middleweight title held by Tony Zale and has offered Zale a $150,000 guarantee to meet him in a title match later, His offer was contingent upon his successful defense aguinst iDocusen, who has lost only two in 59 fights.
