Tournament Moves to Lebanon's Ulen As College Boys Edge Veteran Players
By BILL EGGERT. : ULEN COUNTRY CLUB, LEB: ANON, Ind., June 15—The college boys were giving the veterans a good chase for their entry fees today as the field of 216 golfers moved into the second round here of , the Indianapolis District tournament. Any one of 13 men had an opportunity to hold the leading spot after touring the Highland Golf and Country Club's ideal layout yesterday. Clyde McEntire, 22, of Nobles-| a Butler University linksman, ‘held a slim one-stroke lead after carding an even par 70 "yesterday. It was his first timeson the Highland course and his second best round this seasor, He previously had scored a 69 at Meridian Hills. Petric Up Front Tied for the second spot were

Wampler, state amateur champion and Purdue's No. 1 player, gave himself “a hard way to go” when he came in with a 78,
Another possible contender for the championship is Arnold Koehler, the 20-year-old Pleasant Run representative, who put together two 36s for a 72. Koehler wasn't expecting too much dificulty from Ulen's tricky course today. He has played the course five times this year in preparation for the meet and has had a best round of 72. He violated the “keep-your-head-down” rule twice yesterday and topped the ball each time. pe

There was nothing but praise for the playing condition yesterday of the Highland course. The fairways were in tip-top shape.
