York, has written “World Without" Visa” for the latter. He isn’t in a hurry. Neither, apparently, are the perturbed, frustrated, baffled refugees and citizens of Marseilles, who make up the story. 4

_Saturday Review of Literature, sponsor of the annual Anisfield-Wolf Awards, has announced the selection of two “best books on race relations published during 1947.” Chosen by the SRL’'s commit tee of Henry Seidel Canby, Henry P. Fairchild and Ralph Linton were: “The Indians of the Americas.” by John Collier (Norton), and the “The Other Room,” a novel, by Worth Tuttle Nelson (Crown). 1 Mr. Collier's book contains, among other things, a history of the injustices American Indians have suffered at the hands of the whites. Mrs. Hedden's novel is a story of Negro-white relations in the deep South.
