By JEAN MANEY SPRING IS THE traditional time for sub deb rush . activities—-and the season of teas, parties and
“pleniés for futiire members
is in full swing.
The SINS Sub Deb Club held its annual rush tea recently in the home of Cennie Pfisterer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Pfisterer, 3525 Guilford Ave. The SINS select their members from* Tech, Broad Ripple ‘and: Howe High Schools. : ~ Rushees . were... welcomed by - the officers of the club and ushered into the house to “meet
. the members.” Jo Harper and
Dotty McClamroch (upper ‘left photo) were greeted by Tuggy Pittman (center), president, Mary Margaret Dransfield (second from right) and Cissy McAnany. Marilyn Fulkerson and Connie (left and right, upper right photo) presided at the table while Nina Purdy, Joyce Shipp,
Navy «Snyder; Fa TROMPEON
and Carole Beane (left to right,
landing) gathered ‘round. for
tea and Sofkfes, = AFTER the fea the SINS took off their shoes and “let down their hair,* The four relaxed members (left to right in left photo, second tier) are Tuggy, Rosie Lupus, Pat Dickman and Phyl Harreld. A slumber party, the sub debs’ favorite form of “hen party,” followed the tea. “Meow” sgssions, while the gals put up their hair and do their nails, are inevitable after a successful party. The teeners lounging on Connie’s twin beds (left ‘to right in righthand , second tier) are Joyce, Mary Margaret and Rosie. Ma > ~ «oe A RAID on the refrigerator (photo at left, third tier) fis always on the agenda at a slumber party . . . nothing tastes better to sub debs at midnight than pickles, which
Connie reaches for, and milk, which Nancy holds. And somebody always starts a pillow fight (shird tier, right). Jo Thompson is the victim as Tuggy (left) and Cissy wield the “weapons.” The slumber part of the party (lower photo) doesn't roll around until about 3 a. m.—by then even sub debs have worn themselves out and are ready for bed. Doubling up is just part of the fun, . At 3 o'clock in the morning, who's worried about comfort? Certainly not Marilyn (left) and Pat!
