Dr. Kempf Asks $5000 for Inoculation

The city moved ahead on an emergency rabies inoculation campaign today ‘as Gov. ‘Gates studied recommenddtions for state-wide immunization. pr. Gerald Kempf, city health officer, sald he -would present a request to the health board and

fmmediate free inoculation of Indianapolis pets. Dr. Kempf sald he would ask transfer of $5000 from his dement’s unexpended funds. The request will be given to the poard when it meets Monday and to city council Monday night, It then will be Subject to approval of state board of accounts before the program can begin. Dr. Kempf said he hoped to get the program started in a few weeks. He sald the fund would provide serum and syringes. Local veterinarians already have volun-
