Gas Station Theft Suspect Seized

A bandit suspect seized by a |cruising police sergeant who wit-| nessed a filling station hold-up is being questioned today about

tion, 810 W. Washington St.

Police Sgt. John Jones was driving by the station when he saw ‘two men backing out the station door, one holding a gun trained on the attendant.

The officer swung his own. ear around just as the bandits jumped | into a parked car and sped off. He fired one shot, then pursued them over a zig-zag course that ended ‘when the lead car hit a building at the dead-end of Bright | St. and the Canal. There ‘three men jumped from the car and scattered. The offcer collared one of them, identified as Harry A. Ettinger, of 618 8. Illinois St. The filling station attendant,
