Local Man Pilot On Bob Hope Plane

The big DC-4 which will bring ski-nosed comic Bob Hope to Indianapolis today will be piloted by an Indianapolis man. Pilot of the plane which brings the comedian here to broadcast his coast-to-coast show from Yardue University tomorrow night is William 8. Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Cole, 1458 Congress Ave. Mr. Cole, student at Butler University before entering the Army Air Force, became a commercial pilot after the war. The 28-year-old Hoosier pilot was assigned to the Western Airlines plane which was chartered to bring Mr. Hope and his cast to Indiana, for the broadcast from Lafayette. The plane will land here today and will take off from here Wednesday.
