Other Men Attract Me, Says Troubled Wife
- ————— ee eee reesei
I FEEL THAT you are the one person who can help
~ me. I am 43 and for the first time in my marriage of 25]
I'm attracted to men other than my husband. I've tried to be a good wife but my husband never pays me the little attentions that I long for. He has been a good pro-|, vider and given me a good home but since we found that I could not have children he spends most of his time away from home. I think that is why I started noticing the attentions of| ther men. . 1 y There is one I could become serious about if I just let myself go. and he wants me to get a divorce, I do not want a divorce if there is any other solution, but I can't spend the rest of my life peing lonely. What should I do? . CONFUSED. Td hate to discard security for another brief whirl at romance with 8 man preying on wives when I really preferred my husband, which you do. What a shame that you didn’t to adopt a child. If you think it's too late for that adopt an interest —maybe you'd like a job, ; Try to choose an activity in which your husband could join you. Companionship would bo as satisfying as romance, and would be much more enduring. I know that failure to have children disappointed ~ may have made you very sensitive with the result that you withdrew from your husband. Men don’t understand such undercurrents—and wifely chill doesn’t keep them at the fireside. After 25 years your husband probably won't turn romantio— but he might hang around if he thought that you enjoyed him. You'll have to work at romance.
Returned Ring to Him : I'VE GONE with a boy I like two years. I was engaged but gave my ring back when I met him. Now he and I don’t get along. Sometimes he-is mad-two-or- three months. I go out with other |. . boys but when he comes back I tell them we are through and go back to him. I do love him. We don't see each other but once a week—so that isn't too often. 1 cry myself to sleep almost every night for when I think
three weeks. I don't want to go out with any boys. .. : A. L. You can learn whe starts the arguments by keeping quiet yourself. If he leaves and pouts, let him—ang don’t. be handy when he comes back. All right, you love him—but you aren’t happy loving him. A pouting nan Is a bad risk. - Don't leave time in your date book ‘for weeping on pillows. Are you sure that you aren't cnjoying your “great sorrow,” particularly after seeing a dramatic movie? You'd stand a poor chance settling differences in the practical living of marriage if you can’t settle them when romance is at its height.
Bad Luck Overtakes Us
+. WE'VE BEEN MARRIED 11 years and it seems like bad luck has overtaken us. We have six sons and try to give them all the love we can. I've been sick and am told to go to a hot and dry climate and one boy needs hot climate, We haven't begn able to. pay our bills, . My husband was in the Navy and now isn't well, He doesn’t drink or gamble and we don’t spend our money on pleasures, I do all my own work. : We would like to get a big house trailer if there is such a thing “as a miracle for us. I would beso happy if you could advise -, MRS. W. H.

Boy Friend Fails to Call
I'M 17 and at Christmas met a boy. After we dated a month he said he loved me and wanted to marry me. I fell in love with him and we planned to marry Mar. 1. Three weeks ago he started working at night and said he'd call but he hasn't and I've sat home and been lonesome and blue to see him.” Should I sit and wait for him to come or call? R. He's a funny fiance, isn’t he? Teach him a lesson—don’t walt —and don’t consider you're engaged every time some one suggests marriage. . . i
Turned Against Married Life = 8

When I'm living away from home he won't buy me anything to eat. My parents like him but I want a divorce and want to start my life over. My husband makes love to me.and the “heck” with me afterwards. If it weren't for my parents the baby and I would be hungry. What should I do—listen to my parents and live with “G” and be miserable or try to make myself happy? I don’t want to marry again until I'm 25. I've turned clear against married life. WORRIED. You're doing a lot of running away—from parents, from husband, from responsibilities. It won’t work. I don’t blame your husband altogether. You can’t expect him to support you if you won't live with him. He won't be tender and romantic. when he. knows, that his wife dislikes him,
You brought all this on yourself—and you owe your. baby a father. Mayhe you and your husband should go to the doctor and talk over your private lives. It's not normal at 19 to- be disgusted

Keeps Feelings to Himself - ~~~ I'M 18 and in love with a boy. He is the kind to keep his feel-| ings to himself. I live in his mother’s house with my sister and he| won't come to our apartment—his mother calls me down to her house. We don’t go any place together. : : How can I get him to take me out and to make him tell me his feelings? DISSATISFIED GIRL. } You are taking advantage of woman’s intuition. :. How do you know that he feels regard for you? He doesn’t say so, and the dates are your ides. ; " } His mother’ may like you—but her son may not. See how he does without prodding. i ™~a
