Sen. Robert A. Taft blocked action on Mr. Barkley's plan. The Republicans wanted to ket the data by subpena if possible, saving further congressional action as a last resort. THREE: The House Rules Committee approved a resolution calling for a special seven-member commit. tee to investigate commodity market speculation. Purdue University Technical Institute expects more than 400 students to enroll for the winter term Registration days have heen set for tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. Since several Industrial plants have had groups of employees enrolled in “motion and time study” special classes, the extension center is offering the study as a new course during the winter term.
