Nine men have been - indicted by 3 the Marion County Grand Jury in connection with five killings here. Harry Joseph Adams, 23, former companion of Howard G, Pollard, was charged in one indictment with being an accessory in the “hands-and-foot” slaying of Leland Miller * here in April, 1946. Adams, who is now serving a 15year prison sentence for a robbery im Evansville, was charged with assisting Pollard to escape arrest in the Miller murder. Pollard is in Greenfield jall awaiting trial for the murder 1 May Be Star Witness Indictment of Adams will assure his presence at the Pollard trial for possible use by the state as a star witness.
