Kautskys Pause for Breath And Royals Take Decision
By BOB STRANAHAN The Indianapolis Kautskys knew from bitter experience today that they have to keep their stars in the ball games to come out ahead. * | The Hoosiers dropped a 56-53 verdict to the Rochester Royals, before 9133 fans at the Butler Fieldhouse last night largely because sharpshooting Leo Klier wasn't around at the finish, Klier was whistled out of action on fouls early in the third period and Al Cervi| {led a Royal attack thereafter which | gave the visitors the victory. With Kler out, the Kautskys couldn't seem. to get their fast break organized in the last two] stanzas and were outscored in both| to lose the decision.

The Kautskys blew alohg as hot| as the proverbial little red wagon! at the start and jumped into a 22-12| leadership, Klier leading the attack with eight points, He picked up| too many early fouls, however, and | had to be withdrawn in the second stanza. Rochester managed to outalioot | the Hoosiers in that period, 18]
