Esquire Retains ‘Varga Girl’ Rights

CHICAGO, Oct. 20 (UP)—-U, 8, District Judge William J. Campbell yesterday signed a permanent injunction barring Globe Posters Carp. and Varga Calendars, Ine, from further use of the “Varga Girl” in their products. Judge Campbell found that Esquire, Inc., was sole owner of the ‘trademark “Varga Girl” and also of a unique signature which the artist Alberto Vargas used in signing the pictures at the time he was working for KEspire. The Globe and Varga calendars groups have consented to the injunction, the court announced. Today's ruling was the latest in lengthy litigation between the Espire group and Mr. Vargas. Mr, [ Vargas obtained. cancelation of his
