Murder in Plane Called Accidental
Romanian army officer charged with murdering a man in a plane| flying high over the Balkans that! it was all an accident, « " Three Romanian officers were involved in the case. Now being Wied are Lt. Aurel Dobrel, who was charged with murder, Lts. Romeo Stefanescu and Sepher Baltanu, whos were charged with being accessories before and after the fact. They admitted that they boarded a Romanian commercial plane in Bucharest on July 25. After it had 'taken off, they pulled a gun on the pilot and ordered him to fly to the Dardanelles, they said.
Their story was that they were determined to. get out of Romania at any cost, because of terrorism | and persecution. The man who was shot was the!

Communists Lose Fight To Halt Sugar Shipment
VERDUN, France, Sept. 30 (U.|. P.) —Police cleared 300 Communists off the road today in a brief but violent fight—and 142 French army trucks loaded with American sugar rolled off toward Germany. U. 8 military government in Germany said the sugar was for American troops and had been refined in France. Premier Paul Ramadier's office in Paris said the sugar had been bought in the U., 8. with dollar credits and was for civilians in the French zone of Germany. i The Communists had demanded! that the refined sugar be used to supplement the scanty French ration. They had been holding it {up for 11 days.
