From his odd and devious ways, But of all things we remember, Never conjured in his head, We remember best the morning That our Junior hugged the bread!
Three loaves we hadahim purchase Of vitamin and air, ; A quart of milk was needed, And, “if you do not care I'd like a cone to nibble . . . Away our Junior sped, But he didn't speed returning, Junior loafed and hugged the bread!
He. came by way of Martin's, Where nen-aere spreading tar, And Junior stopped to watch them With his precious mouth ajar: With such action there before him All thoughts of us were dead, Our Junior stood and nibbled, Jiwior gaped and hugged the bread!
In one hand the bottle dangled, In the other ice cream dripped, In the arm that held the dripper Our precious loave § were gripped. We found him there, elated, He and tar and men were w ed, The smaller the “vanilla” The ‘more he hugged our bread!
Poor old throttled breadstuff! Three loaves the size of one! Their middles pressed to ribbons, And on either end a bun! How-we smile, now he is older, How his face gets rosy red, When we laugh about the morning That he hugged our loaves of bread!
