By LOUISE FLETCHER, Times Woman's Editor FOR HORSE SHOW FANS, the “niane” event of the Indiana State Fair starts at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. That's when the first of 500 horses from 17 states will start circling the Coliseum ring .. . out to win their shares of the trophies and the more than $60,000 in prize money. That prize money itself is championship caliber. The other day when the horse show officials got down to adding the final figures, they came up with the announcement that the sum for the State Fair show is the third largest offered at horse shows !in this country. It is topped, they say, only by the awards handed oyf at the Chicago and New York shows. no . 0» » en AS USUAL, INDIANAPOLIS will have a good-sized list of entries competing with those from other sections of the country. Some of them appear here. In the upper | left photo, Max Bonham takes “Sunset Road” over a fence in preparation for the hunter and jumper classes in the show. Max will show the horse for the owner, Miss Mary Ellen Willis, 4430-N. Meridian st.
