By META GIVEN DELICIOUS cold soups are marvelous hot weather meal starters. Whether they are in the form of, a sparkling jelly or a clear liquid

with a bit of floating ice, or crisp’

raw vegetables, they cool and comfort one. Do not serve such soups until the family is ready to sit down, or they will lose their chill. Whipped cream with a little salt or grated horseradish folded into it dropped in puffs on top of jellied soup adds appeal and pleasant eatg.
