“The state highway department today announced plans to open bids July 20 on 16 new highway and bridge projects. The bid session will add to more than 60 bridge building projects already under way, most of them part of a long-range program to replace sub-standard bridges on state roads. Dresser Drawer Stolen

‘With $280 It Held

Burglars early today stole a dresser drawer containing $280 from the home of John R. Green, 1657 Broadway, Apt. 5. Other thefts overnight included burglaries at the homes of Daniel | Thomas, 1732 N, Tacoma ave., where | a $50 ring and $43 in cash were taken, and Mrs. Stephen Fisk, 1836 N. Delaware st, whose husband's trousers containing “$30 were stolen. Thieves broke into a automobile parked in a lot in the 700 block of E. 63d st. and stole fishing equipment valued at $130.
