IHSAA Bans Play In Baseball School
The Indiana High School Athjetic association decreed today that high school students could not - participate in a St. Louis Cardinal baseball school at Ane derson without losing their -eligibility. Commissioner L. V. Phillips said I. H. 8. A. A rules permit students to attend baseball schools not connected with professional baseball. “But the I. H. 8. A. A. considers tryouts a part of contract negotiations,” he added. Cardinal scouts Buddy Lewis, Fred Hawn and Eddie Ries will conduct the camp at Anderson in co-operation with the Anderson park department and police department July 17-19.
