Harridge Upholds Scorer’s Ruling CHICAGO, June 3 (U. P). — Pitcher Don Johnson was credited officially today with the New York Yankees” 9-to-5 night victory over the Waghington Senators May 28. Will Harridge, American league president, upheld the ruling of scorer Burton Hawkins in giving Johnson credit for the triumph. There had been controversy whether the victory should go to Johnson, who took over in the sixth inning with a 6-to-5 lead, or to Randy Gumpert, New York's starting pitcher. In a telegram to Hawkins, Harridge contended that the rules were sufficiently flexible to allow the scorer to give Johnson the credit
