Republican State Auditor A. V. Burch was praised today by the Democrats for his “courage” in re. fusing to issue pay checks to five state legislators who hold other ‘state jobs. State Democratic. Greenlee said Mr. Burch was to be “commended” for “supporting a constitutional provision designed to forestall a vicious practice.” Mr, Burch held the checks of State Senators Clyde R. Black (R. The ring operated in the Michigan citf, selling automobiles it owned and then repossessing them by claiming the ears had been|i stolen. Baltsell The ear was sold te a Muncie man for $1260; The woman, who pleaded guilty pss to transporting a stolen vehicle across state lines, also admitted “gelling” an automobile to Liloyd|— Dixon, 516 N. Gray st., for $760. A confederate of Mrs. Gauls later claimed the car had been stolen the same day it was sold to Mr. Dixon.

Approval of a $392,028 hospital construction project at Mishawaka and a $140,000 addition to ‘a Ft. Wayne church property were announced today by the civilian production administration. The CPA said the two projects were included in a list of 30 approved during the week ending May 22, The projects were estimated to cost $042,340.50. The largest project was for Bt.
