Scotland Yard: Brain Trust | Cracks Big Butterfly Case

= LONDON, May 23 (U. P).—The mystery of the missing butterflies, replete with Scotland Yard sieuthy and international angles, was cleared

up today,

Colin William Wyatt, 38, British ski champlon—who was very delicate in his youth and was encouraged by his father to take an interest in the collection of butterflies—stole them.

Wyatt pleaded guilty to charges of stealing more than 600 rare Australian butterfly specimens from & Melbourne museum and 1300 more from a Sydney museum last December. He sald he lifted the butterflies, which experts said were “priceless,” because that seemed the perfect way to keep his mind off the fact that his wife had walked out on him.
