By BARBARA BROEKING _ HOSPITALITY needn't be curtailed because of high prices, forthe hostess can dip into seasonal fruits and vegetables for appetizing and thrifty meals. A picture salad of cottage

cheese and fruit, for instance, that doubles as dessert, is nour-

—with strawberry time. here, ‘This dish can be served at any time of the year, however, replacing strawberries with mide summer berries, peaches, bananas, oranges or canned fruits,

"Strawberries Add Appeal to Spris

STRAWBERRIES PLAY 'STAR' ROLE—This salad of cottage

cheese and fruit can double as a dessert to bring a meal to a

happy ending. Line center with lettuce and fill with fresh strawberries, grapefruit and orange sections, or any combination of fruit. Or mold in loaf pan. Slice, serve on lettuce and garnish with fruit, Berves seven or eight. * » . P. 8. To those allergic to strawberries: When a rash keeps one

from enjoying summer berries, particularly .strawberries, take a tip from the allergy experts. Cook the berries very lightly before eating. Just bring them to the boiling point with a little water or honey, then chill and serve as usual. Heating foods in many cases seems to lessen allergic reactions. :
