Mrs. Pauline Widner, a ‘lifelong resident of Indiana, died yesterday at the home of her son, Frank 8. Widner, 801 N, Rural st. Mrs. Widner, who was 90; had been a resident of city, ¥ Ind, most of her

on a farm near Hagerstown, Ind. March 9, 1857 and had lived in Indianapolis from 1906 to 1913. Her husband, Charles N. Widner, died at his son's home here June 21, 1929. Survivors besides her son are a sister, Mrs. Helen Kuster, and a brother, Peter Keever, both of Cambridge City, and two grandchildren, Frank N. Widner and Miss Joan Widner, both of Indianapolis. Friends may call here at the Kirby Mortuary this afternoon and | tonight. Services will be Saturday at the Howard funeral home, Cambridge City, and buriai will be in the Lutheran cemetery, East Germantown, Ind.

In Butte, she married Spencer Nichols. She was active in civic affairs, women's clubs and Red Crogs work in Butte. During world war I, she received a citation from President Wilson for her Red Cross activity. Mr. Nichols died in 1937. During world war II, the daughter served in the Women's Maririe Reserve Corps. After her discharge, she and her mother came to Indi‘anapolis. Mrs. Nichols also was interested in painting and Her work was exhibited in the Grand Central Galleries in New York in 1944. Services will be at 11 a. m. tqmorrow in the Hisey & Titus Funeral home. The Jordan choir, directed by Philip Duey will sing.

Witness in Trailer Slaying Case Dies

Times State Service BLOOMINGTON, Ind, May 8.-— Services were to be conducted today for Bert Closson, major witness last fall in the manslaughter trial of Mrs. Flossie Moran. Mrs. Moran was found guilty of the trailer-burning death of Abe Pelfree after a drinking party attended by the two and the 63-year-old Closson. Closson died Monday of a heart attack.
