14. Mr, Taylor was a member af the Indiana state library builing committee and the state Mbrary and historical board of which he was president in 1926. . He also held membership in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Indiana Historical gociety, the Indiana Engineering ¢ounicil, Sigma Chi fraternity and the Dramatic club. "The son of Franklin and Phebe Mode Taylor, he was born in Indianapolis and lived here all of his life. He attended Purdue university and received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Taylor took an active interest in the Boy Scouts. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Allen Taylor; a daughter, Mrs. John H. Joss, Washington; two sons, Dudley F. Taylor and Dr. Frederic W. Taylor, both of Indianapolis, and seven grandchildren.
