The Rev. John R. Baumann, former. president of the Minnesota state senate, died yesterday in the home of his daughter, Miss Norma Baumann, 1712 Hall place. He was 75. The Rev. Mr. Baumann was“ born in Milwaukee, lived here since he retired last November. He had held the pastorate at St. John's Lutheran church, Red Wing, Minn, 45 years before he

A memorial service by esiployees of the Fletcher Trust Co, for the late ‘Hugh McK. Landon, former chairman of the board of the company, was held yesterday. Paying tribute were Evans Woollen Jr, former Governor Henry F. Schricker, Belmont Birsflield, and Joseph J. Daniels.

School Strikers Warned

ROCKLAND, Me, April 22 (U. P.).~—Four hundred Rockland high school students who went on strike to demand the rehiring of Principal Joseph E. Blaisdell and “other teachers” were warned today to return to classes or face “drastic ao tion” A school board spokesman said Mr. Blaisdell resigned voluntarily after 19 years’ service.

Mr. Hayes, who was 63, was a native;of Bartholomew county and had lived in’ Indianapolis three years. He was employed at Pulley Manufacturing Co. the last year and was a member of the Methodist church of Brooklyn, Ind. He is survived by three brothers, Homer, Johnson, county; John T., Chicago, and Elba G. Hayes, Indianapolis, and a sister, Mrs. Onie Flakes, Indianapolis.
