PHILADELPHIA, April 21 {(U. P.).—A proposed Joe Louis-Jersey Joe Walcott heavyweight title fight in Philadelphia had official approval of the National Boxing association today, although the N. B. A. added that it isn't in the matchmaking business. However, the N. B. A. executive committee noted that Walcott’s managers and Promoter Herman Taylor had joined in guaranteeing Louis $200,000, and said that it would approve such a bout because Walcott is rated as the leading challenger. Louis’ handlers have not commented on the offer. The N. B. A. committee also suggested that Bob Montgomery and

A Williams- Montgomery bout may be staged in Philadelphia this summer, the committee said, but should the plans fall through it was suggested that Williams meet Johnny Bratton of Chicago. World Flyweight Champion Jackie Patterson of Scotland was told to make a defense against Dado Marino of Honolulu. Patterson has not defended for many months.
