It will also be decidedly colder in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington and Oregon. Frost will occur in Kentucky, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Georgia, “Washington and Oregon. Ship~ pers and planters are advised to protect perishable goods against frost damage in these areas. Forecasters limited their gloomy predictions to cool temperatures. ‘Woman Pilot Sets Glider Record

| VICTORVILLE, Cal, April 17 (U. {P.).~Lee Voges, woman glider pilot, |today claimed a new altitude record of 10,260 feet for a power glider.

She took a Nelson Dragonfly up {to that altitude from here yester!day and landed two hours, 34 minutes later af Muroc air field, 35 {miles away. William G. Briegleb, who held the previous mark of 4200 feet, taught Miss Voges to fly the craft and watched her as she made her record climb.
