WASHINGTON, April 17 (U, P.) —Former Senator Robert M. La Follette (Prog. Wis.) co-author of the congressional reorganization act, and Rep. Jesse P. Wolcott (R. Mich.) today were named winners of the $10,000 Collier's awards for distinguished congressional service in 1046, Rep. Charles A. Halleck (R. Ind.) was one of 13 congressmen and eight senators who received recognition in the balloting:

P).| {President Truman has signed legislation making permanent the pay rates and pension benefits given the army and navy nurse oorps on a temporary basis during the war, The legislation gives army and navy nurses the same pay rates as other officers, and provides similar retirement benefits. It provides for a maximum nurse corps stréngth of six nurses for each 1000 of authoriged strength of the army and navy.
