Goal Rush
We War Rocky, Say Zales Pilots
MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 21 (U. P.).—Tonight. is the night that Tony Zale and Rocky Graziano were to have staged their return bout in New York's Madison Square garden, and Zale's managers are still hoping the two can be signed for a fight “dnywhere, any time.” Middleweight Champion Zale kept in shape last night by belting out Tommy Charles of Terre Haute, Ind, at 1:42 of the fotirth round of their scheduled 10-round nontitle bout here. A crowd of 4000 saw the titleholder wear down Charles with body punches and then put him away with a ripping right hand to the head. After the bout, Zale's co-manager, Art Winch, told newsmen that the Gary, Ind, boxer would continue to fight non-title bouts until “they get Rocky for us—anywhere, anytime—just so it's Rocky.”
