COTTON FOR EVENING

By LOUISE Times Woman's Editor THERE'S NONE of that “made by loving hands at home” look about home-séewn costumes to be featured at Ayres’ this week. In a great measure this may be credited to the fabrics of which they're made. These are Everfast-“cottons”— a term which covers some silky Sunmere, some imported linens and printed spun rayons as well as such honest-to-goodness cottons as fine wale and waffle pique, striped chambray and printed long-cloth. Mrs. Ruth Luckey North, Vogue pattern stylist, will be in the store's fabric department tomorrow through Thursday to advise customers on fabric selection for their patterns. #” ” [J MODELS WILL display the Everfast costumes in both the department and the tearoom dure ing the three days. * The evening frock pictured is one of the outfits to be shown. It’s of printed-stripe cotton. Somé other outstanding fabrics in the collection are dark paisley designs, black Sunmere gnd linen, and several deep-toned Javanese prints, all unusual in their departure from the typical pastels associated with the “cotton” designation.
