Boys ‘Sent Away’ In Train Wreck

LOGANSPORT, Ind. March 7 (U. PB.) ~8ociety has collected its debt “from two young “boys -accused of causing -a fatal train wreck, But the public may never know What happened to them, The boys, charged with wrecking a Pennsylvania passenger train at Walton, Ind., last Jan. 27, resulting in the death of four persons and Injuries to 40 others, have been “sent away,” it was learned today. Cass Circuit Judge Clifford Wild, who revealed the judgment, would not elaborate. He‘ said juvenile cases were “sacred” under Indiana law. Judge Wild did not name the boys, but it was a matter of public record that 11-year-old Lisle Graves and 10-year-old Jack Sprinkle of Walton were questioned after the ‘wreck. Prosecutor Keith Campbell sald at that time they had admitted placing a bale of wire on the track “to see what would happen.” . They reconstructed their act - for authgrities. Observers speculated that the boys may have been sent to a > private or state home or institution to remain until they reach the age of 21.
