Combine apple juice, sugar, corn sirup and-lemon juice in a 10-inch aluminum skillet or a shallow saucepan and heat just to boiling. Wash and core apples and drop them into the hot sirup; simmer

Have the butter heated in a skillet; add the onions, then the salt; cover, reduce heat and cook slowly. until translucent and tender but not soft, from five to seven minutes. Shake skillet occasionally while cooking. Serve piping hot with lemon parsley butter dabbed over the top. Make lemon parsley butter by letting three tablespoons butter stand at room temperature until slightly soft, then cream thoroughly, stir in gradually one tablespoon lemon juice,” thén fold in 112. teaspoons finely chopped parsley just before distributing it over the hot onions. These are delicious with panfried liver. Serves five.

The 1946 business volume of the Indiana Farm Bureau Co-Operative association totaled $25,900,000, reflectihg expanded services for members, the association's annua) report diselosed today. The report was made by Marvin J. Briggs, general manager at the opening of the association's annual meeting here today. ; During the past year the association completed erection of a new petroleum cracking plant at Mt, Vernon and a new warehouse in Indiaanpolis, The co-operative purchased a second coal mine in Kentucky and work was started on a new superphosphate plant in connection with the association’s fertilizer factory in Indianapolis.
