He was executive vice president of the Chicago firm until last March when he was elected president. Mr. Cain was a director of the American Pharmaceutical Manufacturers association for several years, serving as its president in 1923 and 1924. He was a member of the Masonic order, the Chicago Athletic club, the Glenview and Onwentsia clubs and the ‘Presbyterian church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Fisher Lorndale Cain, a son, George R. Cain, a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Ruggles, both of Winnetka, Ill, and a stepson, Robert G. Lorndale.
