Soloists last night included Nita | Carol, who sang an aria from | Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” and Sandoval’s “Eres Tu”; and Galil Manners, who did her best to revive “Sigh by Night,” from Kalman’s “Marinka,” and infuse vitality into “Show Business,” from Irving Berlin's “Annie, Get Your Gun.” ' The Berlin piece, in the Richard Rodgers’: 1928 manner, sounds obsolete. With King George leading them, the gypsies rushed into the operating room, pushing nurses and hospital workers aside. The surgeon had left the operating room, so they went on a floor to floor search for him. Police were rushed to the hospital and quieted the grieving gypsies, who went home to mourn their dead queen. The surgeon said he had tried to dissuade the queen from the operation but she insisted that he do it.
