Charles M, Cissell, 3663 N. Arlington ave, day foreman of the Indianapolis Star compesing room, died yesterday in Bt. Vincent's hospital after a short f{llnes, He was 68. ‘He became an employee of the Btar two weeks before its first issue was published in 190? and had been employed continuously since that time. A native of Loogtotee; he came here as. a boy. He learned the printing trade at the former Catholic Record, published by his grandfather, Alexandre Chomel, for the late Bishop Francis Silas Chatard. He also worked a short time for the William H. Burford Printing Co.

Services for Othola P, Small, 1108 Ingomar ave, who was killed when he’ was struck by a car Saturday night, will be held at 2p. m. tomorrow in the Leap Funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill, Mr. Bmall, who was 63, was a former carpenter. He was struck as he | was leaving work © at the Grass Shack tavern, Survivors are his. wife Mrs Delia. 8mall; a son, Irvin; and four ‘brothers, Russell, Ernie, Mirvin and Omal Small.

Arthur A. Marcy, Ex-Official, Dies

Active in Democratic Politics Here

A former county deputy recorder, Arthur A, Marcy, died yesterday in Methodist hospital. He was 74. Active in Democratic politics, he had been in the real estate, grocery and drug businesses. Born at Edinburgh, Ind.,, he had lived here the past 62 years and was a member of the Centre lodge, F. & A. M, and the Travelers Protective association. He is survived by his son, Theodore, and a grandson, both of this! city. Services, time of which has not been set, will be in Shirley Brothers Irvington chapel with burial in Crown Hill.

Thomas E. Tiernan

Thomas E. Tiernan, an accountant for the county welfare department the last nine years, died here Sunday. He was 64. A resident here since 1915, Mr. Tiernan lived at 5230 E, Washington st. He was a member of Our Lady | of Lourdes Catholic church and the | Men's club of the church. Survivors are his wife, Bertha; | four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Trey, Mrs. Ella Kirk, Mrs. Lib Prepsing ‘and Mzgs. Jane Delagrange, all of Ft. Wayne, and one brother, John. Services will be at 9:30 a. m. tomorrow in Grinsteiner's funeral home. A requiem high mass in Our Lady of Lourdes church will follow. The burial place has not been decided.

Lee Ora’ Newgent, an Indianapolis resident 35 years, died yesterday in his home, 1214 Prospect st., after a long illness, He was 63. A barber, he had been employed many years at the Claypool hotel shop.
