Va. told t student body that their generation has a “rendezvous with destiny.” ! “What we have done up to now is to try and save the past,” he said. “Plans are being made, but it yet remains to build the future. In this great undertaking, the educated man will have the place of supreme leadership and control, ‘Hope. of the World’ “The world view of the future must have unity in it. In fact, this is the keynote of all-out planning .... The worl ew of the scholar must have freedom ‘in it . . . The way. of democracy is the way of freedom,” Dr. Cramblet said. While @ducation is the “hope” of the world, he warned against illadvised use of the powerful social moulder. ri “We have seen how education can mould the mind of a people in a single generation. Youth believes what it is taught to belieye. This is at once the danger and the hope of the world,” he said. Banquet Tonight
